Tony Quinn Health Centres Ltd. distributes health, wellbeing and fitness products sold in our own retail outlets and offered in Educogyms for use in Educogym training. Our products fall under general food law, PARNUTS (in particular foods for expenditure of intense muscular effort), and the EU Food Supplements Directive. Our policy is to comply with these legal requirements. Products supplied under Tony Quinn, Educohealth and Educogym labels in Europe are manufactured and packed to our specifications in properly inspected and EU-compliant facilities in Ireland and the UK. This guarantees that the ingredient listing exactly reflects the actual content of the product. In the USA our products are made in a FDA-inspected GMP facility. We are under the supervision of the Food Safety Authority of Ireland who enforce Irish and EU food and food supplement law, who actively inspect our health products as well as those of other firms. As the products are not medicines, they do not require medicines licenses from the Irish Medicines Board. Nonetheless, we are subject to, and have undergone and passed, inspections by Irish Medicines Board to ensure that we do not sell prohibited items or prescription-only items. The ingredients of our sports products are primarily protein (casein), amino acids, vitamins and minerals, antioxidants, phospholipids, and other approved ingredients, all of which are standard nutritional items often used in food manufacture and which in no way carry the slightest risk of contravening WADA doping regulations. Each batch of our protein is separately tested to ensure there is no residue of banned substances. The same applies to creatine. Creatine, found in all meat and fish, functions as an energy store in the muscle cells. It is a recognized training aid which is accepted as safe by the European Food Safety Authority on the basis of scientific assessment, and allowed by WADA. It is now freely sold in all EU countries, even where previously restricted. It does not contravene doping regulations. Tony Quinn Health Centres Ltd 7 January 2009 |
